About FCI Phoenix

The FCI Phoenix is also commonly referred to as the Phoenix Federal Prison. The FCI Phoenix is known as a low-security federal facility that calls Phoenix, Arizona home.

The operation here at the FCI Phoenix started in 1979. The facility does not only have what is known as the main campus, but it is also responsible for a prison camp that has minimum-security offenders. The prison camp will provide services to the main campus.

Typically, the main campus will only house around 1243 inmates, while the prison camp will house just around 180 inmates.

You should be aware that all inmates who call FCI Phoenix will either need to be participating in an educational program or be working with his work assignment.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

You will be permitted to send an inmate a letter and a care package. You should note that all your mail that you send to the facility will be checked upon arrival. It will be checked to ensure there is no contraband coming into the facility.

Sending Money

Inmate in need of funds? That is completely normal. To send money to an inmate all you will need to do is get acquainted with either MoneyGram or Western Union. These two services will allow you to easily send money to an inmate. The process is the same way you should send money to someone who is not in prison.

Phone calls

Phone calls are one of the few ways an inmate in the FCI Phoenix can keep in touch with you. Phone calls are limited to 15-minutes a day. All calls are monitored. You can lose your phone privileges if you fail to follow the rules.

Visitation

Visitation at the FCI Phoenix and the camp are on the same day and at the same time. You can go down to the facility during 8:15 am to 3 pm on weekends.

You will need to make sure you bring your proper photo identification card to be permitted into the visitation room.
