The Delaware Young Criminal Offenders Program is known as a state operated correctional facility that operates out of Wilmington, Delaware.

The Delaware Young Criminal Offenders Program is licensed to keep nearly 40 offenders that range from minimum to medium-security levels.

You should know that the Delaware Young Criminal Offenders Program is composed of two separate facilities known as the West and East side.

The East Facility will only house medium-security individuals. The East Facility also is equipped with a hospital that is responsible for the care of injured and sick inmates along with the source where they provide mental health services.

The West Facility is where they will house the minimum-security individuals. The West Facility is where you can find most of the support services as well.

However, the overall complex will offer educational programs as well as various vocational opportunities.

Sending Money

Inmates in the Delaware Young Criminal Offenders Program will need funds for their commissary account. These funds will be used to buy items from the commissary or to buy minutes, so they are able to call home.

Phone calls

The Delaware Young Criminal Offenders Program will have access to the phones in the common areas during the daytime hours daily. The only time an inmate will not have access to the phones is when the facility is under a lock down or the inmate in question is in solitary confinement.

Visitation

Inmates can have visitors on the weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) between the hours of 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. You should note that if you arrive at the Delaware Young Criminal Offenders Program after 2:30, you will not be allowed to visit that day. You are required to arrive to the facility prior to 2:30 pm.

Inmates can also receive visitors on Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year’s Day, and the 4th of July.
