The Atlanta Detention Center (ICE) is nestled in Southwest Atlanta, Georgia. The Atlanta Detention Center (ICE) works closely with the Southwest Atlanta Police Department and the Sheriff’s Office.
The Atlanta Detention Center (ICE) will house adult men and adult women in their facility. Most of the people who are in the facility are people who have been either charged with a misdemeanor or a felony charge. Many of which cannot post bail/bond because their crime is not eligible.

Sending a Mail/Care Package
Inmates in the Atlanta Detention Center (ICE) do not have many things they can do, but one thing that they can do is send and receive letters from their loved ones on the outside.
Inmates will need to purchase their paper, pens, envelopes, and stamps from the commissary. You will not be allowed to send them these items.

You will be able to drop off a money order in the lobby of the Atlanta Detention Center (ICE). The inmate’s information will be required to be on the money order.
Phone calls
Inmates are not allowed to do many things while they are in the Atlanta Detention Center (ICE), but they can make phone calls home to you.
When an inmate is in the booking phase of the process, they will be allowed to have one FREE phone calls.
But, when an inmate is finally in the general population of the facility, all calls will be collected. That means you the receiver will be responsible for any and all charges that rack up while you are on the phone with the inmate.
