Sending a Mail/Care Package
Yes, an inmate in the New Orleans Youth Center will have the opportunity to get your letters. You are more than welcome to write letters to the inmate and the inmate can respond with letters back to you.
Keep in mind that this process can take a bit longer than writing a person outside of prison.
Sending Money
Sending money to an inmate in the New Orleans Youth Center will require you to through Jail Funds. You can deposit the funds online or over the phone with a credit or debit card.
If you want to put cash into the inmate’s account, you can use the kiosk in the lobby of the facility. You should note that this kiosk also will accept any debit or credit payments as well.
Please keep in mind that it can take up to two business days for your deposits to be touchable to the inmate.

The New Orleans Youth Center uses NCIC for their phone needs. NCIC is a prepaid phone service where you will need to go to their website to create your very own account.
When you are creating your account, you will find the step by step instructions on what you need to do to properly set up the phone account. You can deposit money directly from the website, or you can go and use the kiosk in the lobby.
