The Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections makes a more secure Louisiana by giving remedial projects perpetrated to the insurance of the public; safety of our staff; security of our imprisoned populace; administrations to those deceived by wrongdoing; and open doors for positive social change in those remanded to our authority and additionally supervision.
We accomplish our vision through protected, secure jail activities and network remedial projects, improvement and usage of compelling criminal equity arrangements for Louisiana, and the arrangement of rehabilitative open doors for our populace that supports their fruitful progress into the network.

The Department of Corrections comprises of three fundamental divisions:
Corrections Administrations regulates the guardianship and care of grown-up offenders and incorporates people under probation and parole supervision.
Public Safety Administrations incorporates Louisiana State Police, the Office of Engine Vehicles, the State Fire Marshal's Office and Expressway Safety Commission.
The Office of Adolescent Equity regulates the adolescent equity framework in Louisiana.
