Sending a Mail/Care Package

Inmates can receive letters, while they are in the Baltimore County Department of Corrections. But you should refrain from your letters having any of the following subject matters:

  • Physical Violence

  • Gruesome Subject Matter

  • Sexual Acts

  • Sexually Explicit Images

If your letter has any of the following, it will be discarded, and the inmate will not be given it.

Inmates may also receive soft-sided Bibles. The only catch for sending a Bible to the Baltimore County Department of Corrections is they will need to be sent to the facility from the supplier and/or publisher.

Inmates can also receive tennis shoes as well, but just like the Bibles, they will need to be sent to the Baltimore County Department of Corrections from the supplier and/or publisher.

All other packages and items will need to be approved by the Jail Administration prior to you sending them.

Phone calls

Inmates do not have many privileges in the Baltimore County Department of Corrections, but one of their main ones is being able to use the telephone to call home.
