The Beltrami County Jail was constructed in 1978. When the Beltrami County Jail was constructed it was under Sheriff L. Ray Patterson’s careful watch.

Throughout the years, the Beltrami County Jail expanded and expanded again. As of today, Beltrami County Jail can comfortably hold 140 inmates.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

Inmates can receive letters, while they are in the Beltrami County Jail. But you should refrain from your letters having any of the following subject matters:

  • Physical Violence

  • Gruesome Subject Matter

  • Sexual Acts

  • Sexually Explicit Images

If your letter has any of the following, it will be discarded, and the inmate will not be given it.

Inmates may also receive soft-sided Bibles. The only catch for sending a Bible to the Beltrami County Jail is they will need to be sent to the facility from the supplier and/or publisher.

Inmates can also receive tennis shoes as well, but just like the Bibles, they will need to be sent to the Beltrami County Jail from the supplier and/or publisher.

Phone calls
