The Las Vegas Detention Center has an average population of 200 offenders. The Las Vegas Detention Center is also known as the Nevada Correctional Center. The Las Vegas Detention Center is one of the biggest correctional facilities in the state.

The Las Vegas Detention Center oversees all pre-trial inmates along with having custody of inmates who are serving out their misdemeanor sentence crimes that are 12 months or fewer. While also transferring out inmates who have longer sentences to the Nevada Department of Corrections.

The county’s sheriff’s office will provide the Las Vegas Detention Center with all the security and care that the inmates need. They will also provide the following:

Sending Money

To send money to an inmate in the Las Vegas Detention Center, you will need to use Connect Network GTL. Create an account and you can deposit money within a short few minutes.

Phone calls

The Las Vegas Detention Center will allow inmates to use the phones in the common areas between the hours of 9 am to 11 pm daily. During these hours the offenders will have access to call their loved ones. There is no time restraint. The phones are first come first served.

The Las Vegas Detention Center used Connect Network GTL as their phone service provider. You will need to ensure that you put money on the phone account, so the inmate can have the opportunity to call you.

If you do not, the inmate can still use the phone, but the inmate will be required to make collect calls, which can only be done, if you have a landline telephone rather than a cell phone.

Visitation

The Las Vegas Detention Center has visitation online and in person.

If you are not close to the facility, you can still visit the inmate over the internet. However, you should know that this service will cost you 25 cents per minute to do. You can visit between the hours of 9 am to 11 am, 1 pm to 4 pm, and 7 pm to 10:30 pm. You will need to create an account on the Getting Out website.

For in person visits, you will be allowed to visit once a week. This visit can be a maximum of 25 minutes.
