The Williams County Jail was constructed in 1978. When the Williams County Jail was constructed it was under Sheriff L. Ray Patterson’s careful watch.

Throughout the years, the Williams County Jail expanded and expanded again. As of today, Williams County Jail can comfortably hold 120 inmates.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

Inmates can receive letters, while they are in the Williams County Jail. But you should refrain from your letters having any of the following subject matters:

  • Gruesome Subject Matter

  • Sexual Acts

  • Sexually Explicit Images

Inmates may also receive soft-sided Bibles. The only catch for sending a Bible to the Williams County Jail is they will need to be sent to the facility from the supplier and/or publisher.

Inmates can also receive tennis shoes as well, but just like the Bibles, they will need to be sent to the Williams County Jail from the supplier and/or publisher.
